It is used to extract coconut milk and this coconut milk is boiled in bronze vessels to produce hot processed Virgin Coconut Oil know as Ventha Velichenna in Malayalam.

It is similar to shredded coconut but typically refers to finer pieces. Shredded coconut often comes in longer, thicker strands and may be sweetened or unsweetened.

Rich in healthy fats, particularly medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs), it supports heart health, boosts energy, and aids in digestion. The MCTs in coconut gratings are quickly absorbed by the body, providing an immediate energy source and helping with weight management.
